I hope to make it to old age and to be living out loud when I get there. I hope whoever eulogizes me says simply this: She LIVED! Watch this video for the best example yet! Here's what the You Tube summary says:
"An elderly couple walked into the lobby of the Mayo Clinic for a checkup and spotted a piano. They've been married for 62 years and he'll be 90 this year. Check out this impromptu performance. We are only as old as we feel, it's all attitude. Enjoy! They certainly do."
i LOVE that! live life is right...
ReplyDeletei actually saw one of the greatest piano performances in that mayo lobby - it was after one of my testing days, so i was feeling crappy, but there was a young guy playing these ridiculously incredible rachmaninov concertos.. i was stopped in my tracks like most other people who walked by.. and it's so great because the piano is there for people to just sit down & play, recognizing how powerful that is for the players and the audience passing by. a perfect way to live life - especially in the midst of the struggles people there are most likely dealing with. ps. there is no doubt that you will be living out loud throughout your days!!
