Birthday playlist for aging baby boomers

  1. Hi Dancing Diva - I'm a 54 year old guy looking for a place to take 10 friends & wife out for birthday dancing in the Twin Cities. We've tried to clubs downtown before and they're cold and filled with attitude. Know anyplace that's just fun dancing? Love your blog! - Up

  2. I'm glad you like the blog! There are a lot of great places in town depending upon your taste -- like Nye's. If you are African American and looking for places for old school night or steppers, they are advertised on KMOJ 89.9 radio and in Insight News.

There is also an event called Hipshakers that is really fun. They spin 45s! One is coming up:
HIPSHAKER! at The Kitty Cat Klub
    Thursday March 11
    9:00pm -2:00am
    313 14th Ave. SE Mpls

Come on down to the greatest vintage soul dance in town! It's Hipshaker at the Kitty Cat Klub. This month Brian and Greg will be joined by special guest DJ, Larry Englund. What you'll hear are soul and funk records from the 60's and 70's, probably some you've never heard. Rare treasures from America's golden age of Soul--you can't get 'em on iTunes!!
